Hiii foodieπ, good day to you, being a while ππ. Hope you've being eating healthy and staying happy no matter π.
Let me dive right in to this very topic, because I have being trying to publish this for a while now but it hasn't being going through (ahh, I wanted to cry Shaππ).
Dear foodieπ, if you have any special requests or topics that you'd like me to tell you about, do not hesitate to Comment below and share your thoughts too!
Because in this world of ours, where food is, we would always gather as long as it's available and delicious (esp. weddings where party jollof rice is sureπππ.) So, feel free, be yourself at all times!
Okay, so balanced diet, hmmπ€π€...
Diet on its own is plenty wahala (problem), especially here in Nigeria where the economy is down and there's high rate of hunger.
Omo, If You see food, thank God oπ, because this country everybody dey hustle for food and everything sefπ!
Diet is good no doubt, in fact, balanced diet is best, you know? But when you have a limited amount of money (budget) you no go one think am π!
From secondary, even primary school, you've being taught the "Six Classes of Food" but a balanced diet must contain at least four of those, in there right proportions.
That is;
Carbohydrates + Protein + Fats + Vitamins
And forget, a good amount of water too.
For instance,
Bread + Beans + palm oil (for the beans) + banana + water.
Hmm, now that I said it seems like every average person can afford this.
Note: Any fruit can be put in place of banana, even a simple watermelon, carrots, or orange would do just fine.
Also, you must also include nuts, like coconut, dates, tiger nuts, cashew nuts and so on. They are very good for your immune system and your brain.
The price of this nuts may vary from one place to another but I know nuts like dates, wall nut, and tiger nuts are very affordable.
Unfortunately, taking things like carbonated drinks, dairy milk with high amount of fat, and even all other processed food should not be included in your meal(s).
Through the high amount of sugar and fat in this foods/junks, they may cause inflammation leading to ASTHMA and other diseases tooπ.
The truth be say, food dey good and healthy for you but, if you dey eat balanced diet, your immune system go dey kampeππ!
In fact make I drop more benefits for youπ.
