WELCOME TO MEMORY LANE

Wherever you go (go go gon go), whenever you see (sisí èkó), do not say yes when you mean to say no (bàbá ìbàdàn).
As a Nigerian, if you don't know this song then your childhood has been greatly flawed (Irriswarriris 😎🤭😋). This song was almost more popular than the national anthem🤣🤣🤣
Childhood in Nigeria use to be the most interesting part of our lives because of the different kind of games we invented; songs we compose and remix; and particularly bonds we formed😎🤣🤭 until smartphones came and ruined it for the Indomie generation. If you're someone who has had your childhood particularly in the southern part of Nigeria, you're mostly going to relate well with this experiences🤣🤣🤣🤣... we have our games, our songs and our ways of life readily available. Welcome to memory lane.
Our songs
Our primary and secondary schools gives us a lot of inventions in term of songs and most of them we end up remixing, not even the national anthem was spared🤣🤣🤣

Arise o compatriot (oba'dedapo)
Nigeria call obey (o gbeye sinu)...🤭🤣

It became an unconscious action to want to remix every song we hear, but some became too sacred to be remixed and maybe that's why it's been some time I've heard them, but sure thing is immediately you hear this songs it automatically brings back memories;
On the mountain, in the valley
On the land, and in the sea (2x)
Halleluyah!

Bringing back memories right? What about this:
father Abraham has many sons,
many sons had father Abraham
I am one of them and so are you
So let us praise the Lord

Oya last one, I promise. Do you remember this too;
It is a great thing to serve the lord (3x)
Walking in the land of God!🤭🤣

This assembly songs are too golden to be forgotten it remixed. They are real gold.❤️🥂 Asides these assembly songs, secular songs that are golden memories are also there; tell me you didn't dance on the road to Awilo Logomba🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭. Personally, I can remember atleast 4 remixes of the Awilo song, but I know you do too🤭🤣🤣
Our Games
One of the things that kept most of us a child at heart when we see some of our childhood friends is because of our games. I know the first you will remember is "daddy and mummy play" (onishina 🤣🤣🤣🤣). things that would have been responsible for you not doing daddy and mummy play could be; you didn't attend any school, but even if you didn't you definitely have neighbors.
In case of games for most guys though, it is definitely "table soccer"🤣🤣🤣... That hell of a game that makes you end up removing all the buttons on your clothes. Memories oh memories 🤣🤣🤣
Recently, someone once told me he couldn't climb a tree, and I was thrown in a state of utter surprise because if you had played hide and seek in a compound with tree (and most compounds have tree(s)), that's a perfect spot for hiding 🤭🤣🤣. I feel if I should continue with this writing, I might end up writing 2k words🤣🤣🤣🤣 but one things I can't omit from our games is "monkey post". Monkey post is the kind of game that can make you use 3 sandals in one secondary school term🤣🤣🤣.
We had games, and they were all amazing; Ten-Ten, after-round-one, pursue pursue, suwe and many other amazing game.
I miss the days when our worries was more of the time to do homework, not of what to eat, boredom, what to wear of even what anyone thinks about us. We were just children and we had fun. Welcome to memory lane❤️🥂😎
Hey Siri, play me "I miss the days" by NF❤️
Let me go and drink ogogoro to the memories 🤣🥂
